The Year 2009

January-

Embarked on a new journey.  Home schooling Nitro!  We love it!

February- 

Quiet and cold.

March-

Nitro turns 7!  He wanted to go to a water park for his birthday or have a Lake Party!  BURRR!  We found a indoor water park in Gatlinburg.  He had a blast.

April-

James and I celebrate 16yrs of marriage in Louisville.  Nitro starts Karate.

May-

I finish up at SHAC school of Dance.  Love to all of my students.  Lala dances her 2nd recital.  Nitro starts Coach pitch baseball and Lala starts T-ball.  We finish up our first semester of home school!  We start a garden with our friends Pam and Cliff.

 

June-

We begin going to the Lake!

July-

Lala turns 4 and we have a swim party with some close friends!  My mom visits and recaps her 4 week visit to Hawii!  Bridgette one of our cocker spangiels dies.

August-

Pollchick's come to visit from Austin.  We did some camping.  I started as the Ballet Mistress and teaching at Tennessee Dance Arts Conservatory.  Partner up with my good friend to help make this learning center a success and "by golly!"  Bravo!  to all the students, parents and Instructors!

September-

Home Schooling Nitro in 2nd grade begins.  Lala starts Pre-school at the Powers.

October-

We go to the Nashville Symphony and love it!  Vacation in Gatlinburg.  Nitro was Vert Wheeler a Hotwheel race car driver and Lala was a beautiful Southern Belle for Halloween.  Our first Neighborhood party.  We Adopt a Lovable little Kitty named Kloey!

November-

James turns 39!  We begin "Daddy dates" and the kids love it!  We went to Austin to spend Thanksgiving with the Pollchick's.  James is cast in Singin' in the Rain at Maury County Arts Guild as Cosmo!  (show will be in March.)

Decemeber-

We went as a family and took some students to the Nutcracker in Memphis!  Bravo!  It was gorgeous!  This month was full of parties, caroling, gift giving, daddy dates, seeing Marc's Christmas concert, gingerbread houses, Santa, Nativities, movie nights and Wii!  I treasure most the time that we discussed the birth of Savior Jesus Christ and and the Celebration for Him.  I love looking forward to the New Year and what it brings.  Good or bad... I know that my family is eternal and I will always love them.  Best wishes to all of you!  Hugs.

Give me liberty or give me death!

Well we just finished Thomas Jefferson and I cried. My son says I have a tender heart. Well, when you read out loud "Give me liberty or give me death" (Patrick Henry) and "Thomas Jefferson was one of the Greatest Leaders America has ever known." It brings me to tears that My Son is studying to be a great leader like that. Big Sigh...
I guess "I am" tender hearted.

She said:

Daughter: Mommy, I am going to marry Wyatt.

Me: Uh, (thinking NO WAY but said...) Oh, why do you want to marry Wyatt?

Daughter: Because he is nice to me.

Me: Oh, I see. Well, is he a Prince of God?

Daughter: No.

Me: Well, only a daughter of God can marry a Prince of God. (Point, set,.... BUT WAIT her wheels are turning in her head)

Daughter: Oh he is a Prince of God today though. It is Sunday. Me: Ugh.

He said:

Me: Stop arguing.

Daughter: I am not arguing.

Me: I have had enough for "Pete's Sake."

Son: No mommy, it is for "PEACE SAKE."

End of the Boating Season

Date Log Entry:
Nov. 14th,2009 was our last day out on the lake! Can you believe that we can go to the lake this late in the season? Do you want to know the crazy thing about it? The water was only 62 degrees and the air was only 69 degrees. If you know me at all you know anything below 70 degrees is too cold! BUT......

JAMES KNEE BOARDED! OH YES HE DID!
He did great! 360 with ease and cleared the wake! Oh you rock, baby!

This was the season that I met the youngest wake boarder ever!

our new baby!

This little bundle of fur was adopted by way of foster parents (thanks jen) and she is perfect for our home. I NEVER and let me say that again NEVER thought that I would like having a kitten but all in all I love this little sweetie. She is so affectionate to our little family and don't you think her hair color fits right in!?

My Little One turns 4

(Ok she turned 4 in July but we just won't look at today's date. :)

When I was told that I was pregnant and would actually carry a child I was blessed with this little angel.

Catch up your journal! I heard this from my husbands lips... wow! Are you kidding me. I have been on a bit of a soap box about the computer lately that I was not sticking to my journaling. Because this is supposed to be a journal and not a "social spot" for me it won't be anything but what it is.
So for three month I have taken pictures so I could remember what has been going on.

My Nitro turns 7!



Can it really be? Can I really wear his shoes? Is he still the love of my life? He is getting so big and I love my Baby more and more each and every minute. It is truly amazing how he came to us and I thank God every day that his sweet spirit spoke to his birth mom and told her that we were his parents. How lucky are we!? I am still amazed how things just work in God's favor all around us.
