Yes free food but it takes times.
James had a good friend help him process the deer he shot. This is what he got out of that sweet little deer.
-1 tenderloin (that was DELICIOUS!)
-3 lbs of stew meat
-10 steaks
-5 roasts
- A bag of jerky.
-16 lbs of hamburger
Subtract the (2) bullets he shot, the hot hand and foot hands he used, new gloves, new warm hat, cold toes and a day of nature. We did pretty darn good!

Woo hoo! WE're not hunters, but my dad and brothers have resinged their exploits to 'hiking with guns', so by your cost annalysis, their food is very very costly!!
What a load off the grocery bill. Take what you can get these days. Haven't had game in over 30 years since my Dad disguised it as hamburger. Needless to say I was not a happy camper.
Love it! I've been thinking that I should take up hunting, but I don't know where in the world I would find the time. Enjoy it!
